Even when generating clearly adult characters, these tags act as a guardrail against model drift, prompt leakage, and unintended outputs.

Model-specific notes

  • SDXL / SD 1.5: Use weight emphasis like (worst quality:1.4) for stronger suppression. Avoid weights above 1.5; they cause deformation.
  • Pony Diffusion V6 XL: The score_1 score_2 score_3 score_4_up prefix is critical and must always be in the negative prompt. Without it Pony produces low-quality output.
  • Illustrious XL: Similar to Pony but less score-tag dependent. Standard quality negatives work well.
  • Flux Dev / Schnell: Flux uses natural language. Avoid Booru-style tags. Phrase issues as descriptions (“distorted anatomy” not “bad anatomy:1.3”).
